Comet is part of our qualified Animal Assisted Therapy Team. As a youngster, Comet grew up with Dr Dan. Like Dr Dan, he loves swimming in the river and chasing waves at the beach.
After his third birthday, Comet went to school, where he learnt to become a Clinical Therapy Dog. He was top of his class!
He is gentle, soft, compassionate and always happy. Comet helps Dr Dan and the team in almost everything they do. He provides support to anxious children, he comforts those who are unwell, he helps relieve those children who come to us in pain or who have suffered an injury, and he helps little ones with special needs and autism to accept this new environment and experience. He also knows when mum or dad need a cuddle too. Comet amazes us all, every day.
Comet understands that not everyone is into dogs. If that is the case, he gets a break from the clinical setting, and he can be found chilling on the couch reading a book or doing puzzles.
